The Bathroom Make-over Remodeling Project

The owner wanted a makeover in this old fashion bathroom, which has a white cabinet, white wall, white laminated countertop and white vinyl floor.  The sink, bathtub and toilet are apple green.

Being on a limited budget, the owner is not replacing the sink, bathtub and toilet.  Therefore I chose a colour theme that would go with the apple green.

Instead of fighting with the green, I decided to work with it.  I chose green and grey as the theme colors and a cream colour as a complement to give this bathroom a light and fresh feeling.

The counter top and cabinet is to be painted in a grey and lime strie effect.

The wall is given a two-tone colour wash with a large line pattern in trompe l'oeil effect.  This then becomes the focal point of the room.

To echo the new laminated maple wood floor, I put mouldings stained in the same tone around the mirror.

The rest of the room is painted in a creamy colour.

The original fluorescent light is harsh and cold, so I will replace it with incandescent lights.
